The ability to physically destroy magnetic media, including hard drives is now available in a 110 volt system on casters with a compact footprint. The smaller format unit is powerful enough to shred hard drives,* backup tapes and other magnetic media. The smaller size of the system allows passage through typical office doors permitting unit placement closer than ever to the media storage area. The robust compact systems are low speed and low noise and will tolerate shipping between work sites quite well.

Data Security Technologies options include:

• Particulate filtration - in-feed and discharge conveyors - emergency stop controls - metal shipping and accessory case - serial number scanning into a database with a PC - digital video recording capability for security and to document the data destruction event.

• We are often asked about horsepower as an initial question from a potential user. Horsepower(HP) is a component of a well-designed system, not the primary consideration when evaluating a media destruction system. All of our systems are robustly engineered to maximize cutting torque with lower HP motors,and these units are purpose-built for hard drive and other magnetic media shredding. All of our units are tested by shredding hard drives prior to shipment.
  
  *The DS 10 and DS 15 units are not engineered to shred legacy style hard drives of 8” long x 6” wide x 3” high. These require our more robust models, the DS 150 or DS 200.
